1. Peel and boil cubed turnip until cooked through. 2. Drain and mash turnip. 3. Add 2 tbsp. butter and egg and beat well. 4. Combine flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, pepper, and nutmeg and stir into the turnip mixture. 5. Grease a casserole dish and put the mixture in it. 6. Combine bread crumbs and 2 tbsp. melted butter and spread evenly on the top. 7. Bake at 375ËšF for 25 minutes or until the top is light brown.
